CARDINAL OUTREACH

Cardinal has initiated a variety of popular programs to enrich the theatre-going experience and to make world-class theatre accessible to children and families.

Community Access Ticket Initiative
The Community Access Ticket Initiative is designed to facilitate access to theatre for all members of our community. Last year, 360 underserved children and family members attended a Cardinal show for free. In 2009-2010, the Community Access Ticket Initiative will provide this opportunity for 1000 members of our community. More info >

The Cardinal Family Series
The Cardinal Family Series is a series of plays for young children (ages 3-8). This year, Cardinal will present the inaugural Family Series production If You Give a Mouse a Cookie in June, 2010. The Family Series will expand in 2010-2011 season into a full-fledged Second Stage series of plays for young children and families.

School Matinee Performances
Special school matinee shows started in 2008 with The Diary of Anne Frank. This year the program expanded to bring in over 700 local high school students to four special matinees of Inherit the Wind.

Cardinal offers a variety of opportunities to meet and hear from the artists. Our discussions are free and open to the public!

Director Talkbacks
Director talkbacks are held on the 1st Saturday Matinee performance for each production.

Curtain Call Talkbacks
Curtain Call talkbacks invite the audience to meet and talk with the cast after the 2nd Thursday performance of each production.
