Cruz, LieslLiesl Cruz (Mutt the Dog, Maddie’s Mother) is thrilled to be participating in her fourth production with cardinal and to be working alongside her husband for the first time since moving to Bloomington. Previous Bloomington credits include, for Cardinal Stage: Wizard of Oz (Tree/Chorus), Bill W. and Dr. Bob (Woman), Annie (Connie Boylan), the BPP: Vintage Scenes 2014 (SHE), DramatiCats (Bouncie), Vintage Scenes 2013 (Jessica/Cabernet Sauvignon), and MCT: Hamlet (Marcellus),  Urinetown (Penelope Pennywise), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Cobweb). Cruz holds a BM in Vocal Performance from Illinois Wesleyan University and recently graduated from IU with a Masters in Early Childhood Education. Cruz passes her love of the arts to her preschool students at the YMCA and FLC & CCC all of whom she hopes enjoy the show!


Deinlein, AudreyAudrey Deinlein (Isabella) is excited to be a part of The Birthday Feast. Audrey is a freshman studying Theatre and Drama at Indiana University. For Cardinal Stage she has appeared as Wonka Chorus in Willy Wonka, ASM/Female Chorus in Les Miserables, and Pippi in Pippi Longstocking. Other credits include MCCT: Urinetown (Hope Cladwell), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Hermia) Youth Theatre: Beauty and the Beast (Mrs. Potts) Theatre South: How to Succeed… (Rosemary). Audrey wants to thank her family and friends for always supporting her in her journeys, and the cast, crew, and creative team for bringing this wonderful show to life!


Kennedy, LolaLola Kennedy (Maddie) is honored to perform in The Birthday Feast. Credits include Indiana Festival Theatre: The Miracle Worker (Helen Keller); Cardinal Stage: Pippi Longstocking (Mr. Nilsson), Willy Wonka (Charlie), To Kill a Mockingbird (Scout/understudy), Annie (Annie); Indiana Repertory Theatre: The Crucible (Betty Parris); Jacobs School of Music: The Nutcracker (Clara). Lola is signing on for The Giver (Fiona) at IRT in 2015. Lola would like to thank Cardinal, and Sue Swaney and Cosmo for their brilliant support.


Price, MikeMike Price (Mr. Allegri/Farmer/Mr. Gonzalez) is the associate artistic director at Cardinal Stage Company. Cardinal productions include The Letters, The Sound of Music, Charlotte’s Web, Willy Wonka, Oliver!, My Fair Lady, August: Osage County, Underneath the Lintel and A Year with Frog and Toad. Mike has an MA in instructional systems technology and has worked as an instructional video producer/director and instructional consultant. He assists Cardinal with various media and tech work including photography and sound design.


Walker, MariaMaria Izzo Walker (Mrs. Allegri, Female Farmer) is absolutely thrilled to return to Cardinal Stage and join in The Birthday Feast after appearing as Grace Farrell in Annie, Glinda in The Wizard of Oz, Charlotte in Charlotte’s Web, Mrs. Bucket in Willy Wonka,  My Fair Lady, and most recently in Les Misèrables. Her stage and theater credits include work with Bloomington Early Music Festival Opera, IU Opera Theater, Bloomington Music Works, and College Light Opera Company.  An IU Jacobs School of Music graduate, Maria has performed as a member of and soloist with the Bloomington Chamber Singers, New Art Voices, Voces Novae, early music ensemble Anima Fortis, and Bloomington Pops, as well as with Apollo’s Voice and the Indianapolis Symphony.


Weidenbener, MattMatthew Weidenbener (Jack) is a freshman BFA in musical theatre at IU. This is his ninth Cardinal production. He recently appeared in Cardinal’s Les Miserables. Favorite credits include Cardinal Stage Company: Charlotte’s Web (Wilbur), Willy Wonka (Augustus Gloop), Pippi Longstocking (Tommy), The Cat in the Hat (Boy), Sounds of South: Les Miserables (Javert), Theatre South: Grease! (Roger). Matthew is from Bloomington, Indiana.
