Garfield the Musical with Cattitude

Ivy Tech Waldron Auditorium

MCHA Partnership

As an organization that values community engagement, Cardinal Stage regularly gives back to Bloomington through our support of charitable causes. In the past, we raised over $5,000 for My Sister’s Closet and over $3,500 for Bloomington PRIDE. This season, we are proud to show our support for the Monroe County Humane Association as part of our fall children’s production, Garfield: The Musical with Cattitude.

About the Monroe County Humane Association

Founded in 1956, the Monroe County Humane Association is committed to animal welfare, the human-animal bond, and humane education throughout the Monroe County community. MCHA’s services include reduced-cost veterinary care, trap-neuter-return assistance for feral cats, volunteer animal therapy teams, and a free pet food and supply pantry for low-income residents of Monroe County.

Audience members will have the opportunity to donate to the Monroe County Humane Association via a collection at all performances of Garfield. Collected funds will go toward pet medical assistance, the VIPaws animal therapy program, and more.

VIPaws Therapy Animal Teams at Garfield and WonderLab

Join Cardinal at our opening and closing performances of Garfield on Sept. 8 @ 6pm and Sept. 24 @ 1pm to meet the VIPaws Therapy Animal Teams from MCHA! VIPaws is an effort to share the support and success of the human-animal bond and provide animal related therapies in the community. Before the show, meet the cats, dogs, and other animals on the team!

Can’t make the opening or closing show? Meet the VIPaws team & the Garfield cast at WonderLab and learn about responsible pet ownership on September 16, following the 10am performance of Garfield.
